Position Overview

The Quality Control Technician ensures that incoming and stored food products meet all safety, quality, and labeling standards. This hybrid role includes QA office work, lab-style product inspections, and warehouse floor checks.

You will test product samples, verify labels, enter data, communicate quality issues, and support daily QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

Product Testing & Inspection

• Inspect incoming food shipments at receiving docks
• Pull samples for evaluation (including occasional sensory/taste testing)
• Inspect stored warehouse inventory for condition, labeling, and compliance
• Verify packaging, lot codes, and product accuracy

Quality Assurance & Compliance

• Follow GMP, HACCP, FDA, and facility SOP guidelines
• Conduct routine QA audits and documentation checks
• Assist with root-cause follow-up on quality issues
• Maintain accurate internal quality records

Administrative & Computer Work

• Perform data entry and quality logging using Microsoft Excel
• Monitor and respond to emails throughout the shift
• Prepare forms, inspection logs, and documentation for QA management

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Communicate with vendors, warehouse leads, and management
• Work in both office and warehouse areas throughout the day
• Represent the QA team in a professional and dependable manner

Schedule

• MondayFriday
• Rotating start times: 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM
• End time: 5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
• Overtime available

Compensation

$19$22/hour depending on experience

Required Qualifications

• Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work between 6AM5PM
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, data entry)
• Dependable, consistent, and detail-focused work style

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Forklift certification
• Experience in food manufacturing, quality control, or warehouse QA

Work Environment

• QA office and lab area connected to a warehouse setting
• Frequent walking between office and warehouse zones
• Professional, presentable attire (no steel-toe shoes required)
• Interaction with vendors and third-party partners
