Engineering & Data Tools Specialist

Role Overview

Apply your engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data tooling expertise to help improve next generation AI systems through high quality real world feedback. This remote contract role focuses on evaluating industry tools, documenting practical workflows, and delivering technical recommendations across engineering and data environments. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the usability and effectiveness of tools including GitHub, Azure, Metabase, and JIRA.
• Create thorough documentation and feedback reports based on real world tool use and engineering best practices.
• Design, review, and test workflows that integrate cloud solutions such as AWS, Azure, and Firebase with developer productivity platforms including Linear, Postman, and n8n.
• Assess data visualization, monitoring, and CI/CD tools, including Tableau, Datadog, Sentry, and BrowserStack, to identify integration opportunities and process improvements.
• Develop detailed use cases, technical guides, and process documentation for new features and data workflows.
• Work closely with project stakeholders, communicating actionable recommendations and technical insights in writing and verbally.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct, hands on experience with engineering, developer tooling, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
• Proficiency with GitHub, Postman, AWS, Firebase, Azure, Datadog, Sentry, JIRA, Linear, n8n, Twilio, Databricks, Tableau, Metabase, and BrowserStack.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with clear and technically accurate communication.
• Bachelor''s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to turn complex technical feedback into actionable improvement proposals.
• Experience across both cloud or infrastructure and developer tooling domains is highly desirable.
• Self directed, detail oriented, and comfortable contributing independently in a remote setting.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement as an independent contractor.

Compensation

• $40 to $80 per hour.
