System AdministratorSoftware Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a System Administrator for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier Retail clients in White Plains, NY to support and maintain an on-site enterprise IT environment. This role focuses on building, managing, and optimizing server infrastructure, with an emphasis on automation, system deployment, and high availability.This is an onsite job (9AM - 5PM), 5 days per week.Responsibilities:Build and deploy Windows servers and virtual machines from the ground upDevelop and maintain automation using PowerShell and AnsibleAdminister and support Windows Server environmentsConfigure and maintain failover clusters and high-availability systemsSupport and manage Remote Desktop Services (RDS) and desktop infrastructurePerform patching, upgrades, and ongoing system maintenanceManage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCPMaintain backup and recovery systemsTroubleshoot infrastructure and desktop-related issuesDocument system configurations and processesRequirements:3–5+ years of system administration experience in an enterprise environmentStrong PowerShell scripting skills (required)Experience with Ansible or similar automation toolsHands-on experience building servers and clusters from scratchSupporting Windows Failover Clustering and multiple Remote Desktop Services (RDS) farms to ensure high availability and performanceSolid knowledge of Windows Server (2016+) and core infrastructure servicesFamiliarity with virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V)Strong troubleshooting and documentation skillsNice to Have:Experience with Linux system administrationExperience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, or identity services)
