Senior Residential Mechanical Designer
A well-established engineering firm is seeking a Senior Residential Mechanical Designer to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical professional with residential HVAC design experience to take on meaningful projects while working in a collaborative office/hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop residential HVAC systems for new construction and renovation projects
- Perform HVAC load calculations and system sizing
- Prepare mechanical drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD
- Coordinate mechanical designs with architectural and other engineering disciplines
- Apply applicable building codes, standards, and design requirements
- Review designs for accuracy, constructability, and efficiency
- Support project teams throughout the design and documentation process
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 3+ years of residential HVAC/mechanical design experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Hands-on experience performing HVAC load calculations
- Wrightsoft experience required
