Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor & Delivery setting, including antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum phases
• Collaborate with obstetricians and midwives to support individualized birthing preferences and patient needs
• Assist with and support Cesarean births in specialized operating room environments
• Deliver postpartum and mother-baby care, including lactation support and newborn assessment
• Maintain active NRP, BLS (AHA), and STABLE certifications and apply competencies in neonatal resuscitation and stabilization as needed
• Adhere to facility scheduling requirements, including holiday coverage obligations as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience required
• Postpartum / Mother-Baby (PP/MB) experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Massachusetts RN License required
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required
• Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification required
• Active STABLE Certification required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must have personal vehicle available for use during this assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital or community hospital setting
• Familiarity with Joint Commission accreditation standards and patient safety protocols
• Experience supporting lactation consultation and individualized postpartum care plans
