Job Description : The Maintenance Specialist holds a general responsibility forthe reliabilityof the facility or production equipment utilized throughout the facility. TheSpecialistdemonstratesknowledge as a SME in multiple equipment/process areas orproficiencies.This position analyzesequipment performance, along withpresent and proposed maintenance strategies and procedures to determine improvements in the reliability of the equipment.TheSpecialistworksclosely withother maintenance technicianson the proper techniques of equipment maintenance and repairs in a cGMP environment.The role is also accountable for timely, accurate documentation of all corrective and preventive maintenance activities in the SAP system; ensuring work records are complete, clear, and audit-ready.

• Highly proficient in troubleshooting complex equipment issues andprovidesupporting documentation that meet cGMP requirements.
• As a primary SME, take ownership in optimizing the maintenance strategy and monitoring machine performance to improve equipment reliability in assigned areas.
• Effectivelymanage applicable Change Controls, CAPAs, and document changes to SOPs, drawings, and other equipment documentation.
• Coordinate with OEM and contractor support to meet specific objectives within project scope and deadlines.
• Proficient withthe proper use of engineering and maintenance documentation required undercGMPs. Examples include the Maintenance Work Order System, the Critical Change Request System, SOP documentation, Validation documentation, etc.
• Developtrainingopportunitiesfor theMaintenanceteam in efforts to increaseequipment knowledge, skill based, andSME support for the facility.
• Influential team membercapable offilling in for the team leadership when applicable or assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school OR GED diploma Required with technical certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years FDA or other regulated industry required
• Technical 2-yr degree or equivalent, including applicable license or certifications (Electrical, Mechanical, Controls/PLC, HVAC, Boiler) preferred.
• Mechanical Aptitude
• Electrical safety
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash awareness (NFPA 70E), confined space awareness (as applicable)
• Manual Dexterity
• Read and understand construction and machineMinimum
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Advanced Vocational/Specialized Knowledge
• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Word
• ERP/SAP

Other Physical requirements:

• Ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted
• Pushing/Pulling
• Exposure to allergens
• Ability to work in confined spaces
