Graphics & Prepress Technician

Forms+Surfaces is a leading designer and manufacturer of architectural and site products used in high-profile commercial and public projects around the world. With approximately 500+ employees both local and international, our team of talented professionals and craftsmen spans numerous disciplines.


We are currently seeking a Graphics & Prepress Technician to join our team and prepare files from in-house library of standard art and customer supplied art for digital print production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
File Analysis and Preparation

• Analyze customer supplied files for correct format and resolution.
• Prepare art for custom samples and final output.
• Work with Project Sales Coordinators and Manufacturing to ensure all aspects of job are being considered for timely and correct completion.
• Monitor job output and ensure color match and consistency to house standards.

Archive, Documentation, and Machine Maintenance

• Work with Digital Press Operators to monitor press color consistency and calibrate as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Document all pertinent settings used for job production to ensure repeatability.
• Perform archive and file maintenance duties as needed on computers within department.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in latest versions of Adobe Creative Suite applications on Mac,
  particularly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong color correction skills in Photoshop.
• Ability to work cross platform Mac and PC.
• Experience with RIP software, particularly Onyx.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized.
• Digital and/or Commercial Print production experience a plus.

Office environment with a typical work day from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday - Friday (hours include 1/2 hour lunch break). Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.
