Marketing Manager, Practice Group

Location: United States - 3-4 days on-site/hybrid at any of client's locations


Soni is partnering with a leading professional services organization to identify a Practice Group Marketing Manager to support business development and marketing initiatives for a high-performing practice area.

This role acts as the primary marketing partner to senior stakeholders, helping drive revenue through strategic marketing programs, client development initiatives, and go-to-market execution. The position requires a balance of strategy, execution, and stakeholder management in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned practice group leadership, advising on marketing and business development strategy
  • Develop and execute annual marketing and business development plans aligned to revenue goals
  • Partner directly with senior stakeholders to identify growth opportunities and client expansion strategies
  • Lead development of client-facing materials including pitch decks, credentials, and experience summaries
  • Collaborate with centralized pitch/proposals team on RFP responses and strategic pursuits
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives including content, speaking engagements, and campaigns
  • Plan and execute client events, sponsorships, and industry initiatives
  • Manage marketing budgets and allocate spend to maximize impact
  • Track and analyze pipeline activity, campaign performance, and ROI
  • Support integration of new senior hires and ensure alignment with marketing strategy
  • Mentor and guide junior marketing team members as needed
What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of marketing, business development, or related experience
  • Background in professional services (law firm, consulting, or similar environment strongly preferred)
  • Experience partnering with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline tracking
  • Ability to think strategically while also executing day-to-day deliverables
Nice to Have:

  • Experience supporting litigation or business practice groups
  • Prior team leadership or mentorship experience
  • Experience managing budgets and allocating marketing spend
  • Background in events, sponsorships, and client engagement initiatives
  • Experience with RFPs and proposal development
  • Exposure to PR, communications, or thought leadership strategy
