Leaders must delegate, train, and monitor the progress of all associates and all facets of the hardware store. The primary responsibilities of in-store management are to manage the sales, expenses, profits, assets, and team members' personal development to ensure customers are receiving the highest level of customer service.

Role Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Outstanding customer service skills and training with a positive and professional demeanor.
• 3-5 years of retail experience, hardware retail setting preferred although not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• High School diploma (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated, proven track record with leading people, either formally or informally.
• Proficient knowledge of retail point of sale and inventory management systems and processes.
• Current knowledge of hardware retail products and departments with the ability to lead product knowledge training for both new and ongoing training for current team members.
• Highly-organized, self starter with attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
• Always polite and attentive to customers and team members.
• Possess a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills when working with team members and customers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with customers and team members.
• Provide and accept opportunities for ongoing training and professional development (i.e. new and ongoing team member training and development, individual development, promotional training, etc.)
• Technically skilled in basic computer knowledge, software, and social media engagement (i.e. Word, Excel, POS System, Email, Facebook, Google, Yelp, etc.).

Job Requirements (Including but not limited to)*:

• Ability to lift and move items weighing 50-80 lbs. Pulling palletized product up to 1000 lbs.
• Tasks which may exert moderate effort which may include, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Tolerate outside temperatures (cold/hot)
• Load/Unload trucks with product, merchandise, or equipment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Criminal Background Check and Drug Test will be required for employment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
