The Machine Operator will support the mission by operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting machinery used in our grow and packing areas./ph3What Youll Be Responsible For/h3ulliEnsure that automated machinery used in the farm is running smoothly, efficiently and effectively - optical sorter, scaling, bench movement systems/liliFine tune automated systems to achieve accurate task execution/liliCommunicating across departments to sync task priorities/liliTrouble shooting system errors, communicate with maintenance when necessary/liliFacilitating the training for machinery when needed/liliOccasionally provides direction to the teams/liliFollowing all GMPs to ensure continuous safety and efficiency/liliReporting all possible deficiencies or practices to Supervisor that could compromise food safety/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Environment:/h3ulliDry, clean, and quiet/liliRepetitive motion throughout the shift/liliStanding or walking for a long duration of time/liliCrouching and kneeling/liliLifting up to 50lbs/liliWill be exposed to 39-degree temperatures when working in the packaging area/liliWill be exposed to heights when working on the grow area/li/ulh3What You Bring/h3ulliMechanical aptitude with automated systems/liliIntermediate computer proficiency/liliDetail and quality oriented/liliUnderstanding of safe food handling practices/liliAdaptability to fast-paced environment and quickly evolving processes/lili1+ years of experience working in a Machine Operator role/liliAgriculture, science, and/or food production background a plus/li/ulpWorking at 80 Acres Farms, we believe taking care of our people is just as important as taking care of our plants.
