Registered Nurse, Corrections - $1,838 per week

Position Overview American Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Registered Nurse for a Corrections contract assignment in Waverly, Virginia. The role is titled RN: Corrections and the assigned Start Date is July 7, 2026. Compensation & Schedule Pay: $1850 weekly Schedule: Days, 36 hours per week, every other weekend, holidays as needed Shift length: 12 hours Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks Requirements 3-5 years of RN experience 1-3 years of experience in a correctional setting Valid Registered Nurse license Willing to obtain Virginia licensure Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver acute and chronic care services within the scope of an RN in a correctional setting. Manage medication administration, triage, and emergency response procedures in alignment with correctional healthcare standards. Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) to accurately document patient care, treatment plans, and follow‑ups in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
