We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Follow Up Associate to support reimbursement activities for a healthcare organization in Roseville, California. This Contract position focuses on reviewing outstanding claims, coordinating with payers and internal teams, and helping ensure accurate and timely payment resolution. The ideal candidate is comfortable working within established procedures, handling routine follow-up tasks, and maintaining quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced billing environment.

Responsibilities:
• Review, correct, and submit insurance claims to appropriate payers to support accurate reimbursement.
• Investigate unpaid, denied, or past-due accounts and take timely follow-up actions to move claims toward resolution.
• Communicate with patients, government programs, and third-party payers to obtain information needed for billing and collections.
• Partner with internal departments to clarify charge details, secure coding updates, and gather support for claim reconsiderations or appeals.
• Process billing and collection activities in accordance with established guidelines and prepare account documentation for distribution as needed.
• Calculate and apply write-offs, debit entries, credit adjustments, and other account updates with accuracy.
• Meet defined productivity and quality expectations while completing assigned follow-up work within standard procedures.
• Provide general administrative and office support and perform other related duties as assigned.• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Associate degree, technical training, or a comparable combination of education and related experience preferred.
• Prior experience in medical billing, claims follow-up, or healthcare collections preferred.
• Working knowledge of claim processing, reimbursement practices, and account resolution procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, payers, government agencies, and internal departments.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage adjustments, denials, appeals, and payment discrepancies accurately.
• Comfortable following established workflows, daily direction, and performance expectations in a structured environment.
• Ability to meet employment requirements related to required vaccinations where applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.
