Diesel Technician / Mechanic

We are offering a $5000 sign on bonus for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Louisville, KY.

This position is for 2nd Shift: 11:30AM - 8PM, Monday - Friday

You will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

External Qualifications and Competencies

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Unassisted Engine overhaul experience (Preferred)
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, locally valid driving permit (Preferred) This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Must have own tools.

This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

A current valid license is required for this role- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience- This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
