Registered Nurse (RN), Per Diem - Mental Health - PER DIEM VARIED Bridgeton

MAJOR FUNCTION: Provides nursing services to patients requiring care. Ability to assess the physical, psychosocial, and learning needs of patients. Develops, implements, and evaluates a plan of care based on those assessments. Capable of delegating appropriate tasks and supervising ancillary staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: * You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred * *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:  * Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC * Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW * Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM * Previous experience in psychiatry. * Minimum of one year medical-surgical nursing preferable, but not essential. Certification/Licensure: * Current registration with New Jersey Board of Nursing.  * Welle certification required (will train).  * BLS required. * National Certification preferred.  * American Heart Association CPR required. Knowledge & Skills: * Demonstrates clinical knowledge, nursing competence, basic leadership skills and decision-making ability.
