Residential Care Staff (Hours are mainly evening and weekends up to 25 hours a week) Position Summary This position reports to the Residential Care Manager. It requires a responsible individual with leadership qualities, excelling in domestic custodial care. The role encompasses supervision, guidance, discipline of adolescents residentially placed at House of Hope, and involves developing spiritual growth, lovingly correcting attitudes, planning leisure activities, and teaching personal hygiene and basic living skills. Primary Position Responsibilities Models a Christ‑like life in all areas of speech, conduct, worship and service. Consults House Staff manual regularly for outlined house staff responsibilities and training. Oversees residents as they perform household chores and gives instruction as needed. Teaches basic life skills such as cooking, laundry, organization, time management, and other daily activities. Lovingly nurtures the spiritual, emotional and physical growth of the residents. Willingness to spend quality time with the residents. Has a listening ear and an understanding heart for each resident based on knowledge of each resident’s history. Completes daily shift reports. Administers medications according to House of Hope policies and procedures. Confronts and disciplines in love and follows through on disciplines given during your shift. Attends monthly house staff meetings & trainings. Discipleship: confronting with love, prayer, and explaining the rules of the program.
