Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Neuroscience Med/Surg night shift position in St. Louis, MO, requiring at least 1 year of inpatient acute care experience and Epic proficiency. Requirements Active MO or Compact RN license required Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required — no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient acute care Med/Surg and Neuro experience required Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted) No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months Responsibilities Neuroscience/Neurology unit within an acute care hospital setting Neurosurgical patient population including stroke, seizures, MS, and back/head/spinal diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures Patient ratio of 1:5-6 Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Rotating weekends, with an expectation of every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 36 or 48 hours per week available No on-call requirements Floating within scope as needed EMR: Epic An on-site FIT test will be required Utilizes the nursing process to deliver care for neurosurgical patients, including coordinating with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers Willingness to take on occasional charge nurse responsibilities is required; prior charge experience is helpful but not required Black scrubs required Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract is allowed, but any approved time off must be made up during the assignment Candidates are expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day) Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or facility transfer is required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Job ID: P-717474 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr
