Registered Nurse – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric patients in the PICU setting with patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float within scope of practice to other pediatric units as needed, including CVPICU and NICU
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in critically ill pediatric patients' conditions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation schedules as required by unit needs
• During hurricane season (June–November), be prepared to support emergency response team assignments as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State/Compact RN License (SC license must be active prior to start date)
• Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current PALS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
