Job Summary:
Mammographer in Gresham, Oregon. This role involves performing specialized examinations of the breast to assist in diagnosing and treating breast disease. The position requires operating advanced mammography equipment, providing clinical care, and ensuring patient comfort and privacy in a busy medical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Associates degree in Radiologic Technology; Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and Mammography; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a Mammography Technologist; ARRT-M certification in CA and HI is preferred
- Essential Functions: Completes patient education to promote privacy and comfort; follows infection control and safety guidelines; performs diagnostic or screening mammograms; assists Radiologist with intricate mammography procedures including breast biopsies; produces high-quality images; collects pertinent patient information and provides prep instructions; elevates concerns or challenges to senior staff; performs other duties as assigned.
- Organizational Requirements: All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Adventist Health participates in E-Verify.
