Key Responsibilities of the Respiratory Therapist

• Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages and medical backgrounds
• Manage ventilators effectively and safely on assigned units
• Float to different units including M/S, ED, and the Birthing Center as required
• Utilize Epic for documentation in the delivery of care

Requirements of the Respiratory Therapist

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligibility to take the NBRC exam
• Vermont state licensure required as a respiratory care practitioner
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are mandatory
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
• NICU experience within the last year is required
• Epic experience from within the past 2 years is required
