Receive, review, and verify completeness of applications; request additional documentation when necessary and follow up with patients. Resolve patient billing concerns via telephone, correspondence, or in-person. Investigate problems and complaints and initiate resolution efficiently. Process credit‑card payments for hospital departments and record transactions according to accounting procedures. Interpret clinical data to determine eligibility for financial assistance programs. Perform auditing and analytical tasks for account reconciliation. Interpret, read, and work from computer reports and spreadsheets. Qualifications High school graduate with at least 3 years of experience in accounting and medical claims management, preferably in a hospital or physician office setting. Fluency in English and Spanish. Knowledge of basic medical terminology. Thorough understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and other programs that assist uninsured patients. Proficiency with Windows, Word, and Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Pay Range $18.78 – $26.29 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
