Accounts Receivable Collections Representative

Phoenix, AZ
Full-Time | In-Office

$65,000 – $75,000 Base Salary + 1% Commission on All Funds Collected

Mission Restoration is seeking a highly driven, organized, and persistent Accounts Receivable Collections Representative to join our growing team. This is not a passive collections role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable making difficult phone calls, pursuing delinquent accounts, navigating legal collection processes, and taking ownership of the recovery process from demand letter through legal action when necessary.

The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, highly professional, detail-oriented, and understands how to balance customer relationships with aggressive collections efforts.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers regarding past-due balances through phone, email, and written correspondence
• Conduct high-volume outbound collection calls and follow-up communications
• Negotiate payment arrangements and secure commitments to pay
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize collection efforts
• Prepare and send demand letters
• File and manage preliminary notices (pre-liens)
• Prepare and file mechanic’s liens
• Coordinate lien releases upon payment
• Prepare documentation for small claims court actions
• Draft and organize lawsuit preparation documents for attorney review
• Track collection activities and maintain accurate records
• Work closely with operations, accounting, and management teams to resolve disputes and collect outstanding balances
• Research account histories and documentation to support collection efforts
• Maintain compliance with applicable collection laws and regulations
  

Qualifications

Required

• Strong phone presence and communication skills
• Comfortable making outbound calls and pursuing difficult collections conversations
• Previous collections, accounts receivable, legal collections, or related experience
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software
• Professional written communication skills
• Ability to remain firm, professional, and persistent under pressure

Preferred

• Paralegal experience
• Experience filing liens and preliminary notices
• Experience preparing small claims court filings
• Understanding of civil litigation processes
• Construction industry experience
• Roofing, restoration, or contractor collections experience
• Spanish speaking (bilingual)
• Knowledge of mechanic’s lien laws and construction-related collections
