Registered Nurse - Med/Surg/Telemetry

Schedule
Shift: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Weekends required; rotating holidays

Assignment Details
Patient ratio: 1:3
Daily census: ~33 patients; unit size: 28 rooms / 39 beds

Requirements
- 3 years Med/Surg experience
- BLS certification required
- EPIC experience required
- Experience managing heparin and insulin drips
- Proficiency in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- IV starts and peripheral/PICC/central line care
- Tracheostomy care, non-invasive airway support, high-flow nasal cannula
- Peritoneal dialysis/renal failure care
- Blood product administration, wound care/Wound VAC

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in a Med/Surg/Telemetry setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions through telemetry and physical exams.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including heparin and insulin drips.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with facility protocols.

Compliance / Notes
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission
- Urgent fingerprinting process required after signing
