Public Relations Manager

Operating across major international financial centers and political capitals, this organization delivers world-class solutions to high-profile clients. This strategic role will take a central position in crafting and executing comprehensive external communications initiatives across the firm's expanding California footprint. The role can be based in either San Francisco or Redwood City. Key Responsibilities Leading the development and implementation of comprehensive media strategies across regional offices, partnering closely with internal practice leaders to design high-impact public relations initiatives. Managing daily media relations activities, which includes managing press inquiries, drafting official corporate statements, and monitoring regional and national news coverage. Cultivating and maintaining deep, strategic relationships with key business, legal, and trade journalists, particularly across California and the West Coast media landscape. Providing expert strategic counsel to senior partners, preparing them for high-profile media interviews and ensuring alignment on core messaging. Designing and producing a wide variety of external and internal content, ranging from digital website features and press releases to driving the research and placement of sophisticated thought-leadership articles. About You The successful candidate will bring extensive communications experience, ideally gained within a professional services environment, corporate law firm, or a specialized agency handling B2B clients. You are a natural storyteller who can translate complex corporate matters into compelling narratives for the press. You possess an established network of active media contacts and a proven track record of securing high-quality placements with business and legal journalists. You possess exceptional writing, editing, and media training skills. You are a proactive collaborator who feels comfortable advising senior leadership and partners on messaging strategy. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess the commercial acumen required to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
