Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Shift Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Neuro/ENT and surgical settings License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Strong background in Neuro/ENT surgeries. Experience as an RN circulator and recommended experience in scrubbing. Description: This role requires expertise in the surgical room with a focus on Neuro and ENT procedures. Experience with spine surgeries including laminectomies, ALIFs, fusions, and discectomies is essential. Candidates should have familiarity with cranial surgeries such as tumor resections and EVD placements. ENT experience including neck dissections, sinus surgery, and basic ENT procedures is also needed. Knowledge of navigation systems such as Medtronic for cranial and spine procedures is essential. Experience with orthopedic surgeries, including fractures and total joints, is beneficial. Candidates must be able to work with various surgical equipment within the OR environment. The position involves collaboration with charge nurses and unit supervisors. Charting is conducted using the EPIC system. Cross-training in general surgical specialties is required. Call responsibilities will include a 30-minute response time with scheduled availability. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs seeking to expand their surgical expertise in a dynamic OR setting.
