Responsibilities As an Electrical Technician on our team, you are responsible for a range of electrical tasks, including wiring, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. This role involves ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems, adhering to industry standards and regulations. Follow all applicable safety protocols and procedures. Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components including wiring and connection of instruments, meters, pumps, transmitters, HMIs, VFDs, or other industrial equipment being manufactured or assembled. Perform electrical installation and troubleshooting in the shop or at customer sites. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures. Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations. Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Replace or repair faulty electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers. Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work activities. Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure proper coordination of electrical work. Maintain accurate records of the electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as requested or required. Maintain updated professional knowledge regarding electrical technology, codes, and standards. Provide estimates for material and labor costs related to electrical projects and repairs. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure timely completion of work and customer satisfaction. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Electrical Apprenticeship program or related Technical Training program required. Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification preferred. Four (4) or more years of experience as an electrician or electrical technician. Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Familiarity with electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals. Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
