We are seeking a motivated, sales-focused Assistant Sales Manager to support the Sales Manager in driving revenue, developing the sales team, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This is a hands-on leadership position.

The Assistant Sales Manager will work directly with customers and team members while helping the store achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.

The ideal candidate is competitive, confident speaking with customers, comfortable coaching employees, and able to turn customer conversations into sales opportunities without creating a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance

• Support the Sales Manager in achieving daily, weekly, and monthly store sales goals.

• Actively sell Oozapalooza experiences, birthday parties, group services, retail products, upgrades, and add-ons.

• Identify opportunities to increase the average customer transaction through appropriate recommendations and upselling.

• Help convert birthday party and group inquiries into confirmed bookings.

• Track individual and team sales performance throughout each shift.

• Communicate sales goals and progress to employees.

• Identify missed sales opportunities and recommend improvements.

Team Coaching & Development

• Coach employees on sales conversations, product knowledge, upselling, and customer engagement.

• Observe customer interactions and provide immediate coaching when appropriate.

• Help employees understand their individual sales goals and performance expectations.

• Reinforce current promotions, sales priorities, and service offerings during daily team huddles.

• Assist with onboarding and sales training for new employees.

• Recognize strong sales performance and help address employees who consistently fall below expectations.

Customer Experience

• Ensure guests receive friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service.

• Assist customers with selecting the experience, service, or product that best meets their needs.

• Resolve customer concerns professionally and within company guidelines.

• Maintain strong knowledge of Oozapalooza services, pricing, policies, promotions, and products.

Leadership & Store Operations

• Serve as a leader on duty when assigned.

• Support the Sales Manager with opening, closing, cash handling, and daily store procedures.

• Ensure employees follow Oozapalooza policies, safety standards, service procedures, and sales expectations.

• Help maintain an organized, clean, customer-ready sales environment.

• Communicate operational, staffing, customer, and sales concerns to the Sales Manager.

• Assume sales-floor leadership responsibilities when the Sales Manager is unavailable.

Performance Expectations

Success in this role will be measured using sales and leadership KPIs, including:

• Total store revenue versus goal

• Birthday party and group booking sales

• Retail product sales

• Upgrades and add-on sales

• Average transaction value

• Individual and team sales performance

• Customer experience and service standards

• Completion of assigned leadership and operational responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous retail, hospitality, entertainment, or customer-facing sales experience required.

• Previous supervisory, keyholder, or leadership experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to sell products or services and meet sales goals.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Comfortable coaching and providing feedback to employees.

• Ability to lead by example and actively participate in selling.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, family-focused environment.

• Availability to work weekends, holidays, school breaks, and other high-volume periods as required.
