Overview
Join our dynamic team as an Area Maintenance Technician specializing in projects at multifamily properties, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general maintenance duties. In this energetic role, you will assist with maintenance operations across multiple residential communities, ensuring all facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. Your expertise will drive the success of maintenance programs, assist a team of technicians, and coordinate complex projects to enhance residents’ living experiences. Responsibilities

• Complete projects at properties and foster a proactive and collaborative team culture focused on excellence and safety.
• Manage maintenance schedules using Yardi - Maintenance IQ to ensure timely completion of work orders and inspections.
• Supervise projects related to facilities upgrades, renovations, or emergency repairs with a focus on either HVAC, plumbing or electrical.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes while maintaining detailed documentation of maintenance activities.
• Utilize technical tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently.
• Collaborate with property management teams to develop budgets, plan projects, and improve overall facilities management strategies.

Requirements

• Proven management experience in facilities or commercial maintenance environments, preferably within multifamily or housing sectors.
• Candidates who have a strong general maintenance working knowledge, along with either a HVAC or Plumbing certification are highly desirable.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Extensive mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience, including high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Experience using Yardi Maintenance IQ software for maintenance management and scheduling.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting (including use of ohmmeters), and general facilities management practices.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and property stakeholders.
