Job Details Location: Commerce, CA 90040. Salary: $23.00 - $23.00 hourly. Global Market Foods carries a family‑like culture inside and out. Job Description The Driver will be tasked with maintaining safe driving practices and ensuring that the product is delivered to the customer securely and on time. It is essential to demonstrate professionalism, maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, and possess a valid driver’s license. The primary responsibility is to ensure vehicle safety while following company guidelines for the efficient delivery of products to specified locations. Essential Role Functions Perform daily vehicle inspection reports Work in a fast‑paced environment, maneuvering and handling products repetitively Meet physical demands of lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs Follow all DOT regulations and standards Load/unload by hand or with electrical pallet jacks Break down product and hand deliver to the customer inside the store Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers for coordination of deliveries Navigate safely and efficiently to designated addresses Ensure proper loading and securing of goods for transportation Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations (federal, state, and local) Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic and weather conditions Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption Report mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly to the Supervisor/Manager Work flexible schedule and shifts, including weekends if needed Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid state‑issued driver’s license At least 1 year of driving Class C bobtail truck or related experience Ability to demonstrate initiative and work with minimum supervision Experience loading and unloading trucks Ability to lift/carry cargo 25‑35 lbs Ensuring proof of delivery confirmation (invoice/bill of landing) Schedule Days: Monday to Friday (weekends required) Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm (overtime available) Location: Commerce, CA #J-18808-Ljbffr
