Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in a specialized surgical unit located in California. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative care across a variety of complex surgical procedures within an acute care hospital setting. The assignment requires adaptability to variable day shifts and on-call duties, supporting surgical teams with diverse case types and advanced equipment.

Job Details

• Location: 18300 Highway 18, Apple Valley, California, 92307
• Shift: 12-hour variable days, with on-call coverage from 1900 to 0700 and 2300 to 0700 shifts; weekend and holiday call required.
• Schedule: Minimum 36 hours per week with a standard shift length of 12 hours.
• Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of operating room experience, trauma level 1 experience preferred, ACLS certification (preferred), BCLS certification required, Epic electronic medical records (EMR) experience, California license in hand, vaccine and background checks compliant, ability to float within the state.
• Certifications: ACLS (preferred), BCLS.
• Skills & Procedures: Extensive surgical procedures including abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, hysterectomy, blood administration, spinal fusion, endovascular aneurysm repair, robotic surgeries, and various orthopedic, neurosurgical, and general surgical interventions.
• Additional Requirements: Confirmed start date ASAP, RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at submission, two professional references within past three years, COVID-19 vaccine not required, flu vaccine unknown, ability to work holidays, and flexibility to support floating between facilities within a 50-mile radius.
• Unit Details: Main OR with six surgical suites and outpatient surgery center with three suites; patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Travel Experience: Required, with prior experience in EMR systems EPIC and Cerner.
• Travel and Housing: Local radius of 50 miles, with urban housing solutions preferred.
• Notes: Candidate has been confirmed to meet all pre-closure conditions; no limitations to accept the assignment, with housing options explored or secured.
