Key Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist

• Perform neuro re-education, gait training, and balance exercises
• Conduct wheelchair training and cognitive re-education
• Utilize clinical reasoning for energy conservation and patient progress
• Assist with orthotic use, fit, and home safety/family training

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist

• BLS certification
• MSPT or DPT degree from an accredited PT program
• Pass the NPTE and hold a Utah state license to practice
• Experience with neuro, multi-trauma, and medically complex patients
