Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Location: New Ulm, MN | Critical Access Facility
Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Friday, Saturday, Sunday | Every Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Emergency Room setting with a patient volume of approximately 25 visits per day. Perform IV starts and triage as core functions of the role. Administer and monitor conscious sedation and telemetry as needed. Deliver age-appropriate care including pediatric patient care. Float within scope to meet facility needs, including potential float to an affiliate facility. Document patient care accurately using Epic (Excellian) electronic health record system.
Required Qualifications: Active RN license (Minnesota license in hand preferred; candidates may apply for MN licensure upon offer acceptance). Minimum 1 year of strong Emergency Room experience required. BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications required. Pediatric experience required. IV start and triage experience required. Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible.
Preferred Experience / Skills: Experience with conscious sedation. Telemetry experience. Prior experience with Epic (Excellian) charting system.
