Randstad is seeking a Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager for our global pharmaceutical and biotechnology client in East Hanover, NJ.

• Pay Rate: $60.00 – $64.00 / hour (W2)
• Location: Hybrid | East Hanover, NJ 07936

Role Overview Are you an experienced accounting professional looking to make a direct impact on corporate financial operations? In this hybrid contract role based in East Hanover, NJ, you will drive month-end close processes, oversee financial reporting, and partner with cross-functional teams across Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, and affiliate business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership.
• strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP principles.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close procedures, financial controls, and management reporting.
• Proficiency with major ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred) alongside advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Prior experience with fixed assets and manufacturing environments.
• Experience utilizing financial consolidation and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead Month-End Close: Execute timely close activities, prepare manual journal entries, accruals, and manage cost cross-charges.
• Analyze & Report Financials: Analyze P&L and balance sheet movements, deliver variance commentary, and build presentation packages for CFO and finance leadership reviews.
• Maintain Internal Controls: Perform critical financial statement tie-outs, close-readiness checks, and ensure full audit and regulatory compliance.
• Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global finance, tax, and local affiliate teams to resolve intercompany discrepancies and manage intercompany billings.
• Oversee Cash & Process Documentation: Prepare ongoing cash forecasts while maintaining clear, updated financial reporting procedures and process documentation.
