Job Description

The RN Staff Nurse Outpatient reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

• A Registered Nurse is a clinically competent, registered, professional nurse who prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care to the acutely ill patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Effectively interacts with patient, significant others, and health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. As a professional nurse utilizes critical thinking, therapeutic communication, and interpersonal relationship building skills and strives to improve team effectiveness, system processes and patient outcomes across the continuum of care.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required for all new hires after 01/01/2011
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
• One year of experience in similar role
• CPR Basic Life Support
• CPR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• CPR Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
