Come and explore Endicott’s seaside locale where employees are an important part of the bustling campus community!Please apply today if this opportunity looks like the right fit for you..**Job Summary**The Stewarding team member is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the kitchen, dish area, and food service spaces at the Wylie Inn. This role supports kitchen and banquet operations by ensuring dishes, cookware, utensils, and work areas are cleaned and maintained in accordance with health and safety standards. The Stewarding position plays a key role in supporting efficient food service operations and overall guest satisfaction.**Key Outcomes****Key Responsibilities:*** Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room, kitchen areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces.* Properly operate dishwashing equipment and report any maintenance concerns.* Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and food service areas.* Assist with banquet and event breakdown and cleanup as needed.* Restock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated areas.* Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.* Sweep and mop kitchen floors and maintain a clean working environment throughout shifts.* Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks during service periods.* Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed.**Core Competencies*****Reliability***able to get the job done, available and engaged with the job and the Endicott community***Organization***organizes time and resources well so that work is done efficiently and on time***Communication Skills***has clear, effective and efficient ways of communicating, both orally and in writing***Adaptability***shows a willingness to adopt new ideas and to do things differently***Follow Through***takes ownership of projects and sees them through fruition***Initiative/Personal Leadership***identifies opportunities for improvement and actively contributes to solutions***Team Player***shows a willingness to collaborate and share information, knowledge and experience with team members**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**Qualifications & Skills:* High school diploma or equivalent preferred.* Previous dishwashing, stewarding, or kitchen experience preferred but not required.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.* Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.* Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.* Basic understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation procedures preferred.In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the hourly pay range for this position is $16.50-$17.50 per hour. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) job responsibilities, relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and external market data when determining pay. The final hourly rate is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base pay only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
