Root For Change is a youth-led organization(awaiting an official 501(c)(c) status) that aims to address environmental issues; We hope to engage individuals in fun activities to help combat the environmental crisis, and inform the general public about the health of their environment. We are more than pleased to hear that you are interested in joining us on this mission.Please keep in mind the fact that all the roles are voluntary!

General requirements ──★ ˙ ̟ !!

1. be comfortable with using and handling multiple spreadsheets
2. must be organized and active on discord
3. must have the ability to draft up professional emails

team management —-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. managing and updating our volunteers database . we might potentially switch to a volunteer management app/website. you should be prepared to adapt to either or.
2. IMPORTANT: promptly (at least once a month) update the hour tracker. the following statements will make more sense once you see the spreadsheet.
   1. some roles will automatically get x hours per month . make sure you update these promptly and notes will be placed respectively to ensure you know which role gets what hours.
   2. for the content team, write out what content they created so you don’t end up giving them more hours than intended.
   3. if anyone leaves their roles or requests service hours, promptly use the template to issue a volunteer certificate to them.

volunteer management —----------------------------------------------------------------

1. work with the head of marketing to brainstorm and recruit general volunteers. note these ideas in the monthly meeting
2. inform participants about events 1 day before to ensure that they still remember. and work with the events lead and team to ensure that general volunteers are aware of any precautions
3. you need to attend MOST (if not all) of our events in order to record all the participants and their respective hours. if participants do not sign up as general volunteers then issue a volunteer certificate within 1-2 weeks after the event.

1. answer questions that general volunteers may have through discord
2. send announcements on discord to notify general volunteers about upcoming events
3. engage with our general volunteer to understand what events they want . report these findings in the monthly meeting
