Expand your skillset and have a voice guiding the next generation of utility systems and technology by working outside the box at Vanderweil.This is a career development opportunity for someone with leadership and management skills as our Western Region Power Group continues to grow!Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance for Power & Utilities projects with significant electrical generation and distribution components.Work in close collaboration with leadership, engineers, designers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and work plans for various phases of a project.Maintains up-to-date knowledge and understanding of project schedule, status, and technical issues. Manages technical issues as they arise.Identify and negotiate changes to the scope of work with the Client and key subcontractors.Execute designs in accordance with Power Group procedures and standards and specific client standards where applicable.Manage internal quality assurance and quality control reviews for all project deliverables prior to client submission.Develop agendas and run internal design team meetings and external owner/stakeholder and design coordination meetings.Perform construction administration tasks such as field visits, subsequent issuance of field reports, reviewing shop drawing submittals and responding to RFIs.Experience:10+ years' experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer in the engineering and/or construction industriesBachelor's Degree (BSEE preferred)Experience working with industry-standard engineering and project management software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, Microsoft Project, P6 PrimaveraElectrical power or power distribution background is a plusOur Flexible Work CultureAt Vanderweil Engineers, we believe our best work is done when flexibility is offered.
