Sleep Tech/Registered Polysomnographic Tech

Sleep Tech/Registered Polysomnographic Tech Sleep Therapy Status: Part-Time Per Diem Shift: Night shift; 10-12 hour shifts; Days vary and may include weekends Position Purpose: Responsible for providing basic and advanced Sleep services. *Training provided; certification fees and training costs are provided by the hospital for eligible employees* Education: High School diploma or equivalent Requirements: Registered Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) preferred (or registry eligible). Current BLS certification required. Responsibilities: Perform overnight polysomnographic sleep studies. Apply and monitor PAP therapy, including CPAP and BiPAP titrations. Prepare patients for sleep studies while providing education and reassurance. Monitor patient safety throughout testing and respond appropriately to clinical situations. Ensure accurate documentation and maintain compliance with AASM, Joint Commission, and hospital policies. Maintain equipment and assist with quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently while providing compassionate patient-centered care. Experience with polysomnography equipment and sleep disorder testing is preferred.
