GENERAL MANAGER

This is an opportunity for a hands-on, accountable leader who understands the trades, knows how to optimize day-to-day operations, can build and develop a high-performing field team, and wants to share meaningfully in the financial rewards that come with growth.

The Opportunity

As our  General Manager , you will take ownership of the company's day-to-day operations and work directly with the owner to turn our existing momentum into a highly efficient, profitable, and scalable operation.

You'll have significant influence over how we recruit, dispatch, coach, measure, and grow our field organization.

Competitive $100K–$110K base salary + Negotiated incentives tied to revenue milestones and net-profit growth.

What You'll Own — The Growth Plan

Build & Scale the Field Team

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain top-tier HVAC technicians and electricians.
• Build a strong bench of talent to support increasing call volume.
• Develop a culture of accountability, professionalism, and high performance.

Optimize Daily Operations

• Take ownership of dispatching and field operations.
• Master and leverage  WEX (formerly Field Locate)or similar trade-management software.
• Minimize windshield time, improve scheduling efficiency, and maximize productive billable hours.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions that allow the company to scale.

Drive Field Performance

• Coach service technicians and comfort advisors to improve performance.
• Increase average ticket through better communication, diagnostics, presentation, and customer education.
• Improve maintenance agreement conversions and overall customer retention.
• Establish clear performance expectations and hold the team accountable.

Protect & Grow Profitability

• Maintain a company-wide 45%+ gross profit margin .
• Audit job costing, labor efficiency, equipment pricing, and production performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve margins without sacrificing quality or customer experience.
• Help turn revenue growth into meaningful bottom-line profit.

Own the Numbers

You will manage the business by measurable results, not gut instinct.

You'll track, analyze, and improve key KPIs including:

• Conversion rate
• Average ticket
• Callback rate
• Labor efficiency
• Gross profit margin
• Maintenance agreement conversions
• Customer satisfaction
• Revenue per technician

Who Are You?

An Experienced Trade Leader

You have 3+ years of experience managing operations, dispatch, and field teams within HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or another home-service trade.

A Proven Growth Operator

You've helped a home-services branch or company successfully increase revenue, improve performance, or scale its field operation.

Tech-Savvy & Metrics-Driven

You manage by  numbers, systems, and accountability — not feelings.

You're comfortable using WEX/Field Locate or similar field-service software to monitor performance, optimize routes, and make data-driven decisions.

A People Builder

You know how to recruit great people, develop technicians, motivate teams, and create accountability without creating unnecessary drama.

You're also comfortable stepping into difficult customer situations and resolving them with professionalism.

A Hands-On Leader

You're not an office-only manager.

You're willing to get into the field, ride along with technicians, review calls, inspect processes, coach your team, and do whatever it takes to build a better operation.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $100,000–$110,000
