Position: Aviation Site Civil Project Manager Location: Fort Worth, TX Job Id: 6304 # of Openings: 1 For the last six decades, Garver has been designing projects for more than 250 aviation clients. Through this experience, Garver understands the complexities of airport systems held together by runways, roadways, facilities, and electrical systems that need to work in tandem to accommodate daily needs for travel and transport. As part of Garver’s commitment to continued innovation in airport design, our Texas Aviation Team is dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our clients in meeting both current and future needs.The Aviation Site Civil Project Manager will primarily be responsible for designing and managing airport land development projects. The Aviation Site Civil Project Engineer must be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplined team, work with diverse clients, and produce complete design phase deliverables, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, exhibits, technical reports, and narratives. Tasks associated with creating a set of construction documents include drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates. Research, coordination, project management, and staff management will also be expected. Design development software packages will be used, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design packages. Responsibilities will includeSite feasibility and conceptual planningDrive coordination and design for aviation clientsPerform periodic onsite construction observation dutiesConstruction Administration Submit reviews for projects under constructionDetail-oriented and a team player with solid self-initiative to meet deadlinesDevelopment of Plans, Specifications, Reports, Estimates, and other technical deliverablesRequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited programPE license5+ years of related experience with site civil design, permitting, applicable software applicationsDeep working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3DDesign experience that includes drainage, grading, and utilitiesExperience with due diligence, permitting, and jurisdictional coordinationExperience with task management, concept, design, and project management tasksStrong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clientsSome travel may be required (approximately 10% with occasional overnight)Preferred SkillsAirport-related experienceManaging budgetsDeveloping project schedulesGrow With UsGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
