The multi-doctor team provides preventive medicine, dentistry, general surgery, and rehabilitation, with additional services including grooming, boarding, and nutritional counseling. In-house capabilities support efficient, high-quality case management: imaging (X-ray and ultrasound), an in-house laboratory, ECG, digital dental radiography, and convenient medication access via an on-site pharmacy plus prescription fulfillment partnership. - Lead, coach, and develop client service and clinical support teams; foster trust, accountability, and teamwork.
- Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Partner with the lead veterinarian to optimize client experience, patient flow, and hospital standards.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, revenue cycle, daily reconciliation, and KPI reporting.
- Oversee inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships, contract invoices, and facility maintenance.
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance (state, OSHA, DEA as applicable) and maintain current hospital permits and credentials.
- Monitor timekeeping and payroll accuracy; manage overtime and attendance exceptions.
- Resolve client concerns with empathy and solutions-focused follow-through.
- Support marketing initiatives, community engagement, and reputation management.
- On-site leadership presence with occasional weekends and holidays. Requirements
- 5+ years of office or healthcare practice management experience, including 2+ years supervising teams; or a combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, email, and practice management systems.
- Strong financial and analytical skills; budgeting, reporting, and KPI tracking.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Customer service mindset; calm under pressure and collaborative in approach.
- Comfortable working around animals and cleaning agents; able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule with ability to support some weekends and holidays.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Washington veterinary license (or eligibility) if applying as a DVM; not required for non-DVM applicants.
