Financial Controller

Financial Controller - NORTH AMERICA


We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller who enjoys being hands-on and accountable for all aspects of the financial department. This position requires a highly organized professional committed to delivering a high level of quality and detail in an efficient and timely manner, driven by a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Adheres to company safety rules and policies.
  • Manage personnel, including the assistant controller and purchasing manager, to ensure detailed and prompt processing of all financial activity.
  • Effectively manage all accounts receivable and payable accounts to ensure on-time payments while utilizing available vendor discounts.
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and lead cash flow solutions with the management team.
  • Lead and prepare all financial statement packages for exterior financial institutions and internal management teams.
  • Assess, analyze, and process all capital equipment requests, including financial options, annual budgets, and return on investment (ROI) analysis.
  • Effectively manage investor and banking relationships to ensure compliance, including borrowing base calculations and covenant requirements.
  • Lead and manage monthly financial statement reviews at the department and corporate levels, maintaining a full understanding of any variances.
  • Lead all external and internal auditing processes, including physical inventory, weekly cycle counting, and external annual audits; investigate and fully report on any variances.
  • Prepare annual costing rates and budgets in collaboration with senior management.
  • Optimize the Epicor ERP system for planning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Participate in and complete any mandatory labor support required to achieve financial goals.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by executive management.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma Required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
  • Prior experience in job cost accounting, manufacturing environments, or job costing models.

  • Communicate effectively across all personnel levels and integrate smoothly into the corporate structure.
  • Demonstrate strong experience with Excel and Microsoft Office platforms for process automation and increased efficiency.
  • Possess a clear understanding of how this role contributes to achieving overall company objectives and financial goals.
