Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The role requires working with patients who have conditions including myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, strokes, stable arrhythmias, and any other patients needing closer cardiac monitoring and assessment. Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice is essential for eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
