Certified Fitness Trainer

Role Description The Certified Fitness Trainer is a full-time, on-site role based in Holland, MI. This role involves planning and leading individual and small-group training sessions that focus on strength, functional movement, and overall fitness aligned with each client’s goals. The trainer will coach clients on proper exercise techniques, safety, and progression, while providing continuous motivation, feedback, and accountability. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing fitness levels, developing personalized programs, tracking client progress, and maintaining a welcoming, non-judgmental training environment. The trainer also collaborates with the team to improve services, supports client communication between sessions, and upholds professional standards of cleanliness and organization in the training space. Qualifications Strong skills in Fitness Training and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to design and lead effective, goal-oriented workouts. Experience in Group Exercise, including facilitating small-group sessions in an inclusive and motivating environment. Knowledge of the Fitness Industry, including current training methods, safety standards, and best practices. Demonstrated Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, clear communication, and building long-term client relationships. Current certification as a fitness trainer (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, or equivalent); CPR/AED certification preferred. Ability to perform and demonstrate exercises safely, and to adapt programs for different fitness levels and limitations. Strong organizational skills and reliability in managing session schedules, client records, and follow-ups.
