Pay & Benefits

What You'll Do
  • Manage patient caseload independently across inpatient rehab, acute, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings
  • Provide care for diverse patient populations including spinal cord injuries, TBIs, strokes, post-surgical ortho, neuro, and pediatric cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EPIC, Meditech Expanse, Wellsky, AOD) to document accurately
  • Support patient recovery and functional improvement through evidence-based therapy techniques
  • Participate in departmental and hospital-wide orientation and training sessions when needed
What You Need
  • Required:
    • Current Louisiana PT or PTA license
    • Ability to work independently and handle a case load effectively
    • Experience with patient types mentioned; working with diverse populations
  • Preferred:
    • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
    • Experience with EMR systems (EPIC, Meditech, Wellsky)
About the Assignment
This position is based at a premier hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana, specializing in inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient therapy, and skilled nursing services. The role offers a balanced schedule with no weekend coverage, providing an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced physical therapist or PTA to make a difference in patients' lives. All shifts are day hours, with orientation and full caseload expected within the first few days.
