Requirements

Licensure

• Active Alaska (AK) RN License required for Auto Offer
• Pending AK License accepted at submission; license must be in hand prior to Auto Offer

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of L&D RN experience required
• First-time travelers accepted

Certifications

• BLS required
• ACLS required
• AWHONN Intermediate required
• AWHONN Advanced required
• NRP required

Skills

• Skills required per Unit Description (UD)
• Charge Nurse experience preferred or willingness to train into charge role

Scheduling & Float Requirements

• Weekend Requirement:
  • Every other weekend
• On-call Requirement:
  • None
• Floating:
  • May float within scope to like units if needed
• Block Scheduling:
  • Not available

Candidate Requirements

• Local candidates not accepted
  • Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included at time of submission
• Time off approvals reviewed individually upon offer

Guaranteed Hours

• Guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks
• Traveler may be called off for:
  • 1 twelve-hour shift per 2-week period

Labor & Delivery / Antepartum

• 7–14 patient capacity
• High-risk Labor & Delivery unit

Unit Features

• 10 OB Triage Rooms
• 10 LDR Rooms
• 3 OR Suites
• 4 PACU Rooms

Patient Volume

• Average daily deliveries: approximately 7
• Frequently manages up to 14 patients including:
  • Inductions
  • High-risk antepartum patients
• OB Triage averages:
  • 4–5 third trimester testing patients daily
  • Additional influx of triage patients throughout the day
