Chief Executive Officer IU Credit Union – Bloomington, IN, USA IU Credit Union is seeking its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organization’s next phase of growth, performance, and community impact. This role partners closely with the Board of Directors to set direction, ensure financial strength, and align strategy with execution. What This Position Offers The opportunity to shape the long-term direction of a respected, community‑focused credit union Drive growth, performance, and market relevance A platform to lead, develop, and build leadership depth across the organization Meaningful engagement with members, employees, and the community Partner closely with the Board to influence strategy and governance The ability to balance financial discipline, innovation, and operational effectiveness What You Will Lead Set and execute a clear vision for long‑term growth and sustainability Oversee financial performance, including balance sheet strategy, ALM, liquidity, and interest rate risk Build and sustain a strong, accountable, and engaged organizational culture Develop leadership talent and ensure effective succession planning Maintain a visible and accessible leadership presence Keep member value at the center of all decisions Strengthen IUCU’s presence and partnerships within the community Continue the credit union’s commitment to financial education and outreach Improve operational effectiveness across the organization Leverage technology to enhance member experience and internal efficiency Position the credit union to compete effectively in a changing landscape Partner closely with the Board to ensure strong governance and strategic alignment Communicate clearly and consistently across all levels of the organization What You Bring to the Table 7–10 years of executive leadership in a financial institution (credit‑union preferred) 15+ years in financial services with a deep understanding of credit‑union operations, member expectations, and cooperative principles Strong financial acumen with proven ability in balance‑sheet management, ALM, margin optimization, liquidity, and overall financial performance Demonstrated success in setting strategy and executing initiatives that meet or exceed board expectations Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams, develop talent, and guide through leadership transitions while maintaining a strong, collaborative culture Experience working with regulators and managing enterprise risk Broad understanding of credit‑union operations, including lending, payments, and digital delivery channels Strong communication skills and ability to partner with the board Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience) Ongoing professional development in financial‑institution leadership; CCUE and/or CUDE designations preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
