Overview NTB / Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices — Automotive Mechanics NTB is proud to join the Mavis Tire family. We are looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Virginia Beach, VA area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers\' vehicles. Perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts and shocks. Complete state-mandated inspections. Change oil and filters; check fluids; replace worn parts. Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: At least 18 years of age. Legally authorized to work in the United States. 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or any combination of education, training and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the position. Extensive personal toolbox of tools used in undercar repairs. Preferred qualifications: State inspection license(s). ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5). Working Conditions Active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and performing repetitive movements associated with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair.
