We are a well-established, independently owned small animal veterinary hospital located in a charming small town in south-central Pennsylvania. I have owned and practiced here for the past 16 years, and I’m looking for an associate veterinarian to join our team as we continue to grow. We are open Monday through Friday, with no weekend hours or commitments, and no overnight on call. Mondays and Tuesday we are open 8-7 and Wednesday through Friday is 8-5.

Our hospital is a busy, full-service small animal practice where we value quality medicine, client relationships, teamwork, and a healthy work-life balance. We are looking for someone who wants to become part of a team, not simply fill a schedule. There is ownership potential in about 5 years for any interested veterinarians as well, trying to keep it privately owned.

We have an experienced support staff and another veterinarian already on the team, giving you the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and practice medicine without feeling like you’re on an island.

We’re approximately:

1 hour from Baltimore

2 hours from Philadelphia

If you enjoy the outdoors, there is no shortage of hiking, parks, beautiful countryside, and places to explore. Gettysburg and the surrounding area also offer plenty of history, restaurants, shopping, and things to do when you’re not at the hospital.

After 16 years of owning this practice, I care deeply about the kind of environment we create for the people who work here. There is also the option for ownership in about 5 years for the right doctor.

I want our veterinarians to have the opportunity to practice good medicine, continue learning, build relationships with their clients and patients, and still have a life outside of the hospital.

We are an independent practice, which means decisions are made here by the people who actually work here. We aren’t trying to become the biggest hospital in town. We’re trying to provide excellent veterinary care while building a team that enjoys working together.
