Home Health Aides play a critical role in the broader healthcare ecosystem by providing essential personal care and support services to elderly individuals, those recovering from illness or surgery, and people living with disabilities or chronic health conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist clients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral careSupport mobility needs including transferring, repositioning, and accompanying clients on walksPrepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and individual preferencesPerform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and general tidying of living spacesMonitor and document changes in client health status and report concerns to supervising clinical staffAdminister medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed care routinesProvide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful social engagement during scheduled visitsTransport clients to medical appointments, errands, and community activities as neededMaintain accurate and timely documentation of care activities and observationsCollaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure consistent, high-quality careRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent requiredCurrent Home Health Aide certification or Certified Nursing Assistant credential preferredMinimum of one year of experience in a caregiving, home health, or similar personal care roleValid Michigan driver's license and reliable personal transportationStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine empathy for clientsAbility to lift and transfer clients weighing up to 50 pounds safelyReliable, punctual, and capable of working independently with minimal supervisionWillingness to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in a related field is preferredScreening QuestionsHow many years of experience do you have relevant to this Home Health Aide role?Do you hold any required licenses or certifications for this position?Are you available to work onsite in Sterling Heights, MI?
