Your Role Key responsibilities include: Planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students. Supervising students in various school-related settings. Monitoring and evaluating student outcomes. Communicating and interacting with students, parents, staff, and the community. Developing, selecting, and modifying instructional plans and materials to meet student needs. Creating an environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development. Maintaining and improving professional competence. Keeping appropriate records and following required procedures. Monitoring proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities. Maintaining regular, on-time attendance. Serving on special committees. Performing other duties as prescribed by Maryland State Law, Board of Education policy, Negotiated Agreement, and Building Principal. About You The company is looking for: Bachelor’s degree or higher and certification requirements as established by the Maryland State Department of Education for Library Media Specialist. Other experience as established by Maryland Law and Board of Education policy. Knowledge of subject matter and appropriate instructional methodologies. Exemplary human relation skills. Exemplary organizational and planning skills. Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff. Compensation & Benefits 10-month employment term. Exempt status. Salary scale: EACC, U1 (details available on the Charles County Public Schools salary scales webpage). Environmental Factors & Physical Requirements Ability to visit other locations requiring ordinary ambulatory skills. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds). Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity to use a keyboard.
